There are a great many sites with all kinds of information for Las Vegas. You can always try the hometown website, which has most of anything you'd need to know.

There is a great deal more to do here in Las Vegas than just gamble and see strippers. Like anything else though, it depends on your budget, if you have a rental car, or what you want to see and do. Sure, "The Strip" and it's hotels & resorts can keep many entertained for days, but beyond that, there are places like:
Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) (Look for cheap helicopter rides on your way out there at nearby casinos)
Lake Mead (Largest man made lake)
Red Rock Canyon (hiking, ancient indian grounds)
Valley of Fire (Ancient rock drawings, amazing desertscapes, hiking)
Las Vegas Motor Speedway (find out if a race or anything is going on)
Mt Charleston & Lee Canyon (Jan-March for Skiing, Snowboarding, or just getting into the snow)
Nellis Air Force Base (Home of the Fighter Pilot: Find out if your visit is during Red Flag, or if the Thunderbirds are performing. Red Flag is a Multi National training session. Hang outside the base to see fighter jets from the world flying overhead).
Bonnie Springs, Old Nevada (Get a taste for the west. Petting zoo, horseback riding (long & short rides), little western town.
There are a great many things to do in and around Las Vegas, but they're not all obvious, or easy/quick to get to. There isn't much history or culture here, but get what you can, and take what you will.
