Two webdesigners looking for a nice place to stay for 2 months, or more, in Indonesia...

Hi everybody,

We are two webdesigners looking for a nice place to stay for 2 months, or more, in Indonesia. Here is what we are looking for :

* A decent internet connection (at least close to where we live)
* A really quiet town or village to live in
* An appartment to rent, or an hotel room with a table (to work!), budget
* Close to a diving center, to take a PADI course

Anybody have a clue to where we should head ?

Thanks! Reply to this

Hi,
I would suggest Bali because that is the island with the really ideal internet connection and you can learn to dive on Bali.
Another alternative would be Pulau Weh, north of Banda Aceh, but I am not so sure about the internet.
You could contact the guys at Lumba Lumba Diving and ask them about the internet up there.
Here is a report written by a guy on LP Thorn Tree Forum earlier this year about time spent on Pulau Weh.

Hallo,

I can suggest you to come to Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. There's an eco-village here that you can rent. It is 36 kms from the town. Quiet and nice. If you have questions, please don't feel hesitate to ask!

Cheers,
