Lap top chargers

not sure if this is the right forum, but we are after advice / info on charging our lap top batteries while in the car

Hi All,

We'd like some advice / info on the best ways to charge our laptop battery while in the car / kombi. I'm not so worried about running it from a 12V connection, but would love to be able to charge / trickle charge while driving. We often free camp and so can go ages without decent access to a 230V connection (or 120V if we are overseas), but the laptop battery doesn't last for all that long (advice also welcome to how to prolong the life of the battery, not so much what settings as I have the battery saver setting, but is there anything else I could do? I know you wont know what software I have or anything, but general advice is never turned away!)

So to summerise for those bored by my, admittedly short, ramble:

  • charging a laptop (Acer Aspire) while on the road. 12V charger or power inverter?
  • ways to make the battery last longer

Many thanks! Karen Reply to this

Hello Karen 😊

I know this isnt a photography question but I am moving it to the photography forum for a while, because maybe those who are into photography also know a bit about laptops.
