Visiting Sabah, the land below the wind as well as to witness the inaugural Borneo International Marathon 2008
Would just like to share some intriguing information here. For those travelling to / in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo on 12th October 2008 will be witnessing the inaugural Borneo International Marathon 2008. I personally think it's a great opportunity for one to witness such event that is to be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. With ideal weather, stunning backdrops such as the Mt. Kinabalu and the infamous structural Sabah Foundation Building (formally know as Yayasan Sabah / Tun Mustapha Building) and complemented by the warmth Borneon hospitality, what more can you ask for during your visit? If you happen to be around on that Sunday, be sure to have your cameras ready along the Tanjung Lipat highway - that's the best place to shoot on runners with backdrops of either the sea and neighbouring islands, the Mt. Kinabalu in the distance, or just the friendly locals that makes up this awesome state, Sabah.

Here's just another unseful information for those bird lover adventure travellers. There will be an inaugural one-of-its-kind 1st Borneo Bird Festival that will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. I personally think the aim of this festival is to share with people the various species of birds that are found in Sabah as well as for others to share their valuable knowledge and experiences of bird species that they have came accross during their travelling experiences. No doubt this festival is a long way to go, but then again it's useful for those with great interest in birding activities to plan ahead for this event should they feel the need and passion to attend. This would also be an added opportunity for those already planning or confirmed their travel to Kota Kinabalu during that particular day, to not only witness this event but also experience the culture and natural surroundings that make Sabah unique znd beautiful in its own way.
