A couple of good places to snowboard in the area are snowqualmie pass (spelling?) and Stevens Pass. Stevens is a bit further but also quite a bit better. If you have time you should head up north and try and go to Mt. Baker, they get massive amounts of snow and some of the best terrain you will find. It is on the to Vancouver, one hour detour off of I-5 from the sunset exit in Bellingham. There are plenty of shows in seattle if you are interested, shouldnt be hard to find. Other than that cant think of anything, Hawks game should be excellent...try stubhub if you cant find tickets but they usually open some up the week of the game.

Hi Travis! You have definitly come to the right place if you want info on Seattle.

I would second the recommendation that you head up to the Summit at Snoqualmie for snowboarding -- it's easy to rent equipment and the slopes have a good variety of everything from bunny slopes to double-black diamonds but the majority are easy-intermediate level, so perfect if it's your third time. Also it's only about an hours drive from Seattle. You can make a day of it, or if you've never tried night-boarding, you can just go up there for an evening and get back to the city in time for bed.

Pike Place Market is very exciting in December. It will be all decorated for the holidays -- also right around there is the Bainbridge ferry which you can walk on and ride over to Bainbridge and back. Even though there's not much to do on the island, the views you get from the ferry to and from the city are stunning, and it's the cheapest way to get on the water (which you must do somehow! Seattle is all about water). The downtown streets will also be decorated for the holidays and there are frequently carroling competetions that you can watch from the sidewalk.

You can take the Amtrak Cascade train line up to Vancouver to save time driving up there. Probably cost a bit less than a car given the price of gasoline these days.

Hmmm...I'll have to think about other places. Seattle is a bit of a food town, so lots of good restaurants to enjoy. Cozy up in a cafe in the morning over coffee or in one of the pubs down in Pioneer Square before/after the game.
