hey guys me and the bf are looking to travel americas east coast nest year, but cant compleatly decide what to do or how long different things will take so here we go.

we are so far planning

were-----------------------------------what----------------------------------how long

new york - sight seeing + try of nyc life - 2 weeks
washinton dc - only want to see white house - 1 week
tennasee - elvis pad and jack daniels brewry - 1 week
miami - ?????? + bf tattoo from miami ink - 4 weeks with 1 of them spent in bahamas

now we are not sure if we have arranged our time well , ie what is there to do in miami ? is 3 weeks there too long? will it take 1 week in washinton just to see white house?? also we are planning 4k each without flights ( my dad has gave us his air miles to pay for them , he works away so has plenty lol) is 4k each enough ? too much ? not enough? Rose,

I love the fact that you are spending so much time with us here in the States. May I suggest Orlando while in florida or even a short 3 day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale. My GF and I are doing that trip in Sept. Also, touring New Orleans to see the only location in America settled by Pirates, and even cooler, Monticello in Virginia (home of Thomas Jefferson and where he died). Very eerie place yet very surreal experience.

You could see the white house in one day. I think a week in D.C. is too long. Are you renting a car for the whole trip? If you are, then I would suggest making it a road trip and stay wherever you find a cool town.

3 weeks is a long time in Miami too, I went there for a weekend and thought that was enough. Instead of 3 wks there, you should drive down to the keys for the week, like key west. The keys have awesome snorkeling and diving with really pretty reefs.

And the bahamas is awesome, 1 wk isnt enough.
