Recommendations for East coast travel! Thanks
15 years ago, June 17th 2008 No: 1 Msg: #38935
As i am new to the forum i will start with a HELLO! o/

Myself and my partner will be travelling East coast U.S.A starting on the 3rd July, flying from LHR to Boston, MA.

W have no plans other than flying out of Miami 5 weeks later.

My initial route is Boston, NY, Niagra Falls, Washington D.C then maybe though Tenesse / Alabama, to new orleans across via panama city beach then orlando to miami.

Can people from the States or people who have done this trip recommend any \'MUST SEE\' places, things to do etc..

Also travelling on a budget may be a struggle, any pointers on accom / travel that would save us some money.

Thanks in advance for your time

It depends on what you like to do. Do you prefer adventurous sports and outdoors or do you like sightseeing more. That could determine what you def. see versus maybe skipping.

To save money on travel, you could take the train from ny to D.C. Washington D.C. has awesome public transportation to see everything. Subways go everywhere and they're inexpensive.

As far as accomodation, there aren't that many hostels. You could try budget motels like motel 6 which are 35-45$/night.

Hope that helps,
