Yum, yum!Yum, yum!Yum, yum!

We were assured this is what they had for breakfast each morning!
We left Bolivia and crossed into Peru, to be more specific Puno. To be honest there was not much there really except for one attraction, the Floating Islands.

They are located about a 25 min boat ride from Puno and you guessed it, just float in the middle of Lake Titicaca.

We set off for a hectic day of the floating islands in the morning followed by a bus journey to Cusco with only 30 mins in between to spare... When we got to the Islands they explained about how they were made up, none of which I can actually really remember, but it was roughly all made with different layers of reeds. We were then given some of the reeds to eat, it didn't really taste of much but since I hadn't had time for breakfast was very welcoming!

We then got to ride on a reed boat for 5 soles, and I got a turn at rowing the thing.. it wasn't as easy as the locals made out! I think my rowing made us take longer to get to the next Island. Here there was a cermony going on at the local church. We got back

to the mainland at 12.35, yikes! We still had to get our bags and get the bus at 1 o clock! Through the combination of local transport (some guy on a bike with two seats at the front) and a crazy but fast taxi driver we made it. Only to our frustration that the bus didn't actually leave until quarter past anyway!

There was a lad from Singapore who also rowed at the same time as me, although he didn't seem to put much effect in as we started to go round in circles at one point!
