The first lodge
The first lodge with a view of Salkantay. We walked here from the road.

Mule train
No roads out here so all supplies by horse, mule and ass. Propane gas (empties on these).

Salkantay Pass
Near the top of the pass - bit breathless with the altitude.

Second lodge
After the hardest day´s walk we get to a lodge where the towels are damp but the view is great.

At home on the range
Allie had to ride most of the third day as she was ill.

Third lodge
This lodge was in the cloud forest with a jacuzzi just in front of it looking across the valley.

Cloud forest
As we got lower the vegetation got lusher and it got hotter.

Machu Picchu
Across the valley behind us is MP. Not far to go now.

We finally got there.

Maravilloso, probásteis el jacuzzi ? era un jacuzzi natural? recuerdo haber leído sobre partes de los ríos en Perú que son de agua hirviendo.. asi que entre el agua caliente, la altitud, etc.. te cogías un mono de la leche.. besos. carmen
