Hellooo!
We've been in Cusco a few days now, it's one of the best cities we've visited! The main square and streets are really pretty and it's surrounded by mountains. It's also clean and feels like one of the safest places so far!
The first day we went to the Inca museum - our first museum of the trip. This woman gave us a free tour and you just give her a tip. Although there were a lot of pots to see, there were a few highlights, such as the centuries' old mummies and skeletons, as well as learning generally just how clever the Incas were.
The only other highlight was white water rafting! I was a bit nervous about falling and bashing my head against a rock, but the guide was brilliant and because we were all naturals the raft didn't flip once! We even went over a massive hole that flips rafts 80% of the time and we made it! It was really cool, everyone loved it!
Next is the Inca trail, the whole purpose of our trip. In case you've forgotten, the Carrot we're after was returned to its rightful place, the Lost Inca
City of Machu Picchu, but if we are ever to complete our quest we need to find it and bring it back to England! Check out the next entry to find out how we got on.........
Oh, P.S. we went to a llama farm!

it looks great! you both look very healthy and happy. I thought travelling meant slumming it and living rough!! Am plewased to see that you are eating well (my first priority of course). eric, now that you have found a llama, does that mean you wont be needing a goat? I assume it was Eric that bashed his head as eleni is clearly the natural water baby!! cusco looks lovely. It must be idyllic wlking down those streets. xxxxxxx
