Cusco

Cusco....well we finally made it after a long and painful 14 hour bus ride. The road was just round and round and up and up and a very uncomfortable bus. Cusco is a really nice little town with a lovely main square where you are offered anything from a wooden pot, finger puppets, paintings, shoe shine and lots of other stuff. We have been here for 4 days the first 2 we struggled with the altitude as it is 3400m so we just wondered round drinking Coca tea which is what they recommend for altitude sickness. We have stayed in a really nice little hostel. Today we went Horseriding around Cusco and got absolutely soaked and it wasn´t that exciting. Oh well we are only here to acclimatize and get ready for the Inca Trail which we start tomorrow. We have bought some very attractive pochos for the occassion. Tomorrow all will be revealed.
