Not bad so far! Our host family is really nice. Nadia, our host mother is a really good cook, and she´ll be cooking 3 meals a day for us. We got all set up with our Spanish classes. No suprise, I´m in Basico 1, and superstar is in intermediate. We also checked out our program today. We´ll be working from 4-7 in the afternoons for a community after school program. The kids seem very sweet, and it looks like we´ll have tons of fun. Mike may even be able to ride bikes with them. Keep your fingers crossed. The center is WAY up a huge hill, with chicheniza like stairs to get there, so we were mighty winded just getting to work. The city of Cusco is itself at over 10,000 feet to begin with, so there´s not a lot of oxygen!
We´re keeping our fingers crossed to go to Macchu Picchu - apparently we should have been better planners, and reserved seats on the only train that goes there. We have only a 2 day window for getting there, so we have someone checking availability for us! We´ll keep you posted on that one...
