*big big sigh**

we left...
We are now in Andahuaylas, after a day of travelling. I cant pronounce this name, i keep saying and-a-wallace. they laugh. Anyways, we ll tell you about the adventure that it was to get here next time... Since we have a crazy quick internet connection, we decided to fill it up with pictures of our last week. there are two pages of them, make sure you check em out.

We left off last blog saying that we were in charge of cooking for 18 people. We survived!!!! well, barely... OK; marion and Emilie cooking together, means, something MUST go very very wrong. And it did! Starting 10 am, the street water stopped in the whole city. NOW. try cooking for 18 poeple with no water, as well as clean the house, that is an utter challenge. But hah, nothing scared us. somehow we made it and laughed a lot in the process...made the best freakin ratatouille and gateau au yahourt EVER. people were a little sick the days that followed, but surely that wasnt our fault. noooooo.

The last two days with the kids were maybe the best. Our play day on friday
was a huge success. We had 10 games planned, like guess what food, guess the object, throw the ball, twist on a poll 20 times and walk around with a spoon and an egg in your mouth (that was hillarious). They all won lots of little stickers which were like fake money to get presents. Oh wow, it was christmas for them. Everything was going finem until suddenly, we realized we were running out of present awefully fast. what happened, we wondered. well, lots of things happened. they stole the stickers from us without us having a clue, they stole some presents from the "shop", they bullied and fought each other for them... just another day really!! But they all had a great time, and so did we. we painted all their faces like warriors (maybe that didnt help!)

The next day was fiesta day, for birthdays and our departure. This was hillarious, because dancers were invited to entertain and organize dancing games with us. The main organizer girl wore a pink lether dress with white plastic shoes, this left us....puzzled. to say the least. It was great, we danced so mucgh, got hugs and presents and tears....
Ahm we re gonna miss these little demons.

For our last day we decided to escape back into nature. We (we = david/nico, blandine/blanquette/biquette, lilou and us) went back to Qinua, the site of the battle for peru independence where we went horse back riding (and eating cuy) a couple weeks ago. This was quite an experience... It started with a taxi ride there, with two of us in the trunk to leave room for the señor´s wife... When there, as we were clmbing to our adopted camping site, a police car stopped us (this is already on the mountain with no one around but bond fires celebrating the saint jean) These cops were GREAT. At first we were worried to see a big car pull up, only to see them come out with their big big guns, and give us a big speech on how they were here for our protection, and why the hell were we walking so much anyways? So they gave us a very bumpy ride for 5 mn, which probably would have taking the same time on foot... We got a lill goobye speech on how wonderfull it was that we came

the altitude savior
to peru (that s when we realized how drunk they were, just driving around the mountain with guns and blasting music...riiiight)

We kept climbing and spent the night in a lill place called San Pedro, under the most beautiful sky, running, climbing, singing alone in the wilderness looking up into the mountains. There s nothing like being at one with nature. pure bliss.

After that, it went very very quickly, but somehow we got our bags packed, kissed and hugged our friends, shed a few tears (always a sign of how good the times were) and took off this morning at 6....Lilou is still with us, which helped ease the 10 hours of bus...
Adventure here we come again!!!

Later for some more.

Enorme bisous all around

ps: for those who understand... petit bruit quand meme!!
