There wasn’t room in my last blog entry to give proper prominence to photos from the orphanage, so here is a selection, to give an idea of what it was like.

Getting permission was quite a palava, but we taught the children who work in the bakery how to make Scottish shortbread.

The shortbread was delivered to the main hall, supposedly for all of the children to share - but unfortunately the staff and children from a visiting school (supposedly bringing things for the orphans) scoffed it all piece after piecce after piece. I was livid!

It was always chaos in the cafeteria, especially getting the food out on the table on time, but the children ate everything they were given and washed up afterwards.
