I first came to Ecuador in the late 1980's to teach English in Quito. I fell in love with this country, the natural beauty, the warmth and generosity of the people. I went on to work in international education on nearly every continent, but Ecuador kept calling me back. This Chicago girl has a "latina soul"! Hanging Out with Shana

The hammock chairs on her front porch are where my neighbor Shana and I spend a great deal of time chatting and laughing. We've known each other over 30 years!!

Jessie's housesit was in a very unique home...I loved the fun mosaic work surrounding all of the windows and skylights.

My New Job!

Animal Adventures rents oversized stuffed animals for kids to ride around the shopping mall. I thought it would be the perfect retirement job for me!

I am sooo happy for you!!!! I love that after all these years of collecting and packing and shipping and mailing and saving that you made your vision a reality. Your home is truly an expression of you!!! And all the people that get to enjoy it, both invited and passers-by. Like the homes we used to envy - you got one!!!!!! Sorry about your eye misery! Glad it's over!
