I’m sorry that I haven’t posted anything for a while. Since we rented a new, larger home in July and had to clean and paint the entire interior we were quite busy for a while. Even after we moved in, the were a lot of items to be hung.(Pictures in the next post)
Believe me, hanging a picture here is a lot different than in the States. There is no drywall here. All the walls are concrete over brick or block. So you don’t just bang a nail in the wall and hang the picture. It’s drill a hole, put in a plastic insert for a screw or a few toothpicks (awesome way to just put a nail in a hole and have it hold).
So here are the pictures of the street art that I took in July and August. The ones taken in July (beginning with DSC) are all on the wall around a high school. I believe they allowed the students to do the painting. There are definitely some artists in that school. The others from August (beginning with IMG) were taken near a rotary (rondel) that is near the Millenium Plaza.
