Tiare & Nick at 4100m overlooking Quit
Hello again all.

Well I think that we have proven that we are not prolific blog writers. However, we shall try and do a bit of a catch up now. For the sake of the records we shall due a few entries and back date them to when we actually did them. So here goes......

Wednesday & thurdsay 27 & 28 Feb

Tiare & I erolled in some spanish classesd to try and polish up on our spanish a bit. (note: I still don{t think we are any better....)

We won{t go into many of the details - they dont make for very interesting reading however for the last two hours of our lesson on Thursday, we took and outdoor excursion. Out teacher took us up on the cable cars to the mountain overlooking Quito. At the point we got to it was 4100m (for perspective Mt Kosiosko (I know thats not spelt right) is only around 2600m (I think)). anyway very high. It was a great view (lucky for us the clouds lifted for long enough to see something. Nick was feeling a bit breathless with the altitute but it was great. And we discovered that

we dont need to go too far if we are feeling a bit homesick because there are gum trees everywhere!!! Aparently they are great for growing on the sides of volcanoes - go figure!!

So thats about it for this couple of days.....
