A cup of tea in bed! We cannot even remember when we last had this delight. We were even able to have cereal and milk for breakfast. It was wonderful.

More chilling out, enjoying not having to move on and sitting on a sofa.

We then went and explored Castro, its Plaza de Armas, arts market (where we invested in a very thick jumper each for warming us up after our planned treks over the coming weeks), and the delightful walk by the sea looking at the stilt houses that give Castro its uniquness.

Castro is the 'capital' of the island and one of the oldest cities in Chile, along with Santiago and La Serena and is the island's cultural and historic heartland.

In the evening we devoured a jacket potato with tuna mayo. These next few days all revolve around food cooked at home and relaxing.
