So on to the bus to Chillan, buying the ticket was incredibly easy - just point at the time you want on the computer screen, pick your seat and your ticket is printed it even tells you what bay it leaves from. Your bag is checked into the hold (and not released till you produce your luggage tag), the bus is cool, comfortable, has toilets WITH toilet paper, seats that recline futher than airplane sates and more leg room, plus people get on to sell drinks and snacks (not just ordinary snacks either, we had a whole Patisserie). Wow. Chillan was really nice, a bit off the tourist track so I stayed in a B+B with my own double bed for a fiver. It has a beautiful Plaza de Armas (each town in Chile has one
