messing around
backbend...ouch i think i hurt myself Salar de Uyuni and beyond
I made it to Chile after spending 3 days in the desert in Bolivia, it was 0 degrees in our room last night but we managed to wrap up warm. We played cards to take our minds of it but i practically wore the entire contents of my rucksack to try and keep warm.
The scenery in the Salt flats and in the desert was phenomenal, we saw lots of different coloured lagunas and flamingos, it was so peaceful. It looks like another planet, mars or something and is so remote and the stars are so bright at night. We stayed in a salt hotel the first night and i ate llama which was pretty yummy, had a few cervezas and had a good sleep.
We we in a 4WD and passed the 5000m today to see some geisers and heading into Chile was 2000m downhill as we crossed the border into Chile. We are heading north to Arica tonight...back on the bus again with no shower ...promise i will be smelling nice when I return to the UK.
I just want to thank everyone tha has added comments to my blogs, its
