Jeden z dovodov preco sme vstavali tak skoro bolo aby sme stihli vychod slna, Facundo opat vyzeral zmatene a postupne nas vsetky auta predbiehali. Prvou zastavkou bol Manana gejsir a okolo neho este par dalsich dier z ktorych vychadzala sirna para a v niektorych bublala voda. Zima bola neskutocna, pod nulou a tak sme len rychlo vybehli z auta, urobili par fotiek a hned naspat do tepla. Pred vychodom slnka sme dorazili do Aguas termales /termalne kupele/, kde bolo male jazierko s krasne teplou vodou. Jedinou prekazkou bolo odhadlat sa, vyzliect do plaviek a prejst tych par metrov k jazierku v treskucej zime. Medzitym vyslo slnko, pomaly sa zacalo oteplovat takze vyliezt von nebolo take zle. Po ranajkach sme dorazili k bolivijsko - cilskej hranici.
Mali sme stastie a nasli pekne vyzerajuci kemp so solarnymi panelmi - to znamena nadej na teplu vodu.
In the morning we had to wake up at unhuman hour of 4, dress up in a dark - for some reason they didnt turned on electricity /maybe to save money?/, got on the car and left. One of the reasons why we woke up so early was to catch up a sunrise, Facundo looked confused as usual and slowly all the cars took over us. Our first top was Manana gejsir and some holes with boiling water and sulphury steam everywhere. It was so very cold, under zero, that we just took few pictures and happily run back to our
car. Before the sunrise we managed to get to Aguas caliantes/thermal waters/where was a little pool with lovely hot water. Only obstacle was to be brave, fight off the cold and persuade yourself that it really worth changing and jump into the pool. we did it , meanwhile the sun showed itself and it was just magnificient so getting out of the pool was not too bad. After breakfast we went to the bolivian - chilean borders, thats a little shabby looking house where we said bye to the rest of our group, that headed back to Uyuni. The bus meant to wait for us to take us to Chile, but having bad experience with travel agencies in Bolivia we were a bit nervous if all goes well. But the bus was readt, we got through quite tough control - almost no food allowed, scanned rucksacks and filling up a form that we really dont have anything illegal. San Pedro de Atacama was just an oasis in the desert and we decided to camp there. Being lucky we managed to find our camping site quickly, looking clean, with hot showers equipped with solar panels and that meant there could be
hot water for real.
