Only bus heading south to Coyhaique was leaving at 6 am, which meant getting up at 5am in the dark, packing out tent and everything else, fortunately we didnt forget anything. The first hour we spent on the unwanted city tour around La Junta, we didnt get why, but by 6 we were finally on our way. Road looked like as usual - full of stones nad dust. Later we had to give way to a massive truck, during this manoevre our driver went too far to the right and the obvious had to come... Our bus made a weird sound and we knew, without even looking that we were in trouble. We dangerously started to lean and we were asked to leave the bus, which we gladly did. Wheels on a right side were more than half buried in sand and stones. There was a
huge ditch on that side, covered with bushes, so after having realized that we were actually quite lucky. They called in another truck and together they managed to get us out on the road. In the end we arrived to Coyhaique just one hour late. Here we managed to found a colectivo to Puerto Ibanez and had just enough time to grab something to eat. After arriving to Puerto Ibanez we were again very lucky and got a place on a very last ferry of that day to Chile Chico without any reservation. We were croosing the lake of two names - General Carrera in Chile or Buenos Aires in Argentina. By the time we arrived to Chile Chico it got dark and we were bit worried about finding somewhere to sleep. Fortunatelly, immediately after leaving the ferry we were aproached by a guy renting a room, which we gladly accepted. In the evening, after a long time, we again watched TV, even in English.
