Hello from a rainy Maceio. Beautiful beaches and very warm 30 to 33 degrees but raining every half hour or so. Town not much to write home about. It's obviously a holiday destination for its beach life. We enjoyed seeing the slightly more rural life this morning houses in country seem to have fewer electric fences around their high garden walls! Hotel area very chic of course. Brazil is such a large country I never realised just how vast. Our tour guide super imposed a map of Brazil over northern Europe and it covered from Greenland to Kiev , I was amazed. It's the size of USA too. There are many states which began as Indian settlements . The Portuguese settled along the coast
