The Beach in SantosThe Beach in SantosThe Beach in Santos

This was one of the Beaches we went to. It is more like a bay than a beach so it was alot more calmer, and there were alot less people on this beach.
We drove to the coast a few days after Christams. watched the fireworks on the beach for New Years. It was a little bit scary because they were letting them off right infront of everyone (no fenced off section for safety) a coule hit the skyrise buildings then someone lit one next to us and we thought it was time to go back to the apartment. I don´t think any of it was arranged by the government, just people with fireworks (everyone seemed to have them because they were going off every night for about a week before and after new years!!)

The beach was ok.. not at all like ours.. it was pretty dirty. I mean the truck drove around every night picking up rubbish, but there was a smell of rotting drain water.. (that´s one bad thing that I´ve noticed abot Brazil, they have really bad drains or they are just blocked with rubbish but if it rains for about fifteen minutes the streets start to flood, even on top of hills) anyway the water was a kind of brown. After a few days at praira grange (long beach) when the family went back to Sao Paulo Jules

and I got sick. A few days later we were able to clean up and go back too. (it takes about fourty minutes to drive). I tried to take some photos of the mountains on the way home but it was really foggy.

Passing through these mountains reminded me of Dorrigo.. I couldn´t take too many photos because it was really foggy.

There is so much space, and they still build the houses wall to wall!!

These tunnels were really long. they cut through the mountains, each were about two or three kms with a few metres of open before the next one started.
