Finally arrived in Rio. No bags.

Fortunately our taxi into the city went well thanks to brushing up on some special key phrases from this website.

But beyond that, our driver had kind eyes. The kindest I've seen in Rio so far.

Met our Apartment host Flavio. Who was very kind. We paid the remaining sum on our apartment rental.

After our cab ride and paying off the rest of our rented apartment, we found we were left with 30 Brazilian Real, which is around $11 USD. We made due with the help of a little wine bottle the kind stewart gave us on our flight. Seriously, this will be a dinner I remember much more than any fancy Christmas Eve dinner I've had.
