You just don't hear that much about Bolivia so we were not sure what to expect. After visiting Edgar Flores and his church (see the mission page of www.missionvango.com), we headed South toward Chile. The roads were hardly fit for even four wheel drive vehicles in places and I thought the van was going to shake apart. We suffered our first flat tire, bought $8/gallon gasoline from a man selling it in sketchy plastic milk jugs, and then ran out of gas as we crossed out of Bolivia into the Chilean desert. Despite it all, the beauty of Bolivia made it all worth it. Here are a few photos from the Bolivian countryside.
