already here, it could be seen that the Jardin will be especial
I planned a short visit to the botanical garden, one hour to look a bit on the plants, but I didn't expect how enormous it will be. Five kms legth and around two kms wide, so I spent the whole afternoon in a for European visitors unconventional botanical garden with many types of wild forest from the dry Chaco forest over the semidry forest amazonian rain forest. Everything is natural, as the climate conditions are great to keep this botanical garden. The forest is almost unmaintained, so inside you feel a bit wilderness (if you forget that few kms away is the biggest Bolivians city). I saw many animals, like different apes, huge turtles, etc. I went there just with sandals, expecting a Czech-type botanical garden, so I was surprised to step one meter aside of a 3m green snake, which escaped, so I didn't panic 😊 I met more of these snakes in the forst/garden.... 😊
