Our hotel had a little kitchen, our check out time was 12 am and we decided to use this for a lovely breakfast - pancakes with jam. Our bus at 7.30 pm so we had plenty of time to wander around Samaipata, a little village with 6 streets so it was a bit tricky :-). Another specific thing about South America is that is they have a plastic cover over a new sofa or seat - in a car or bus too, they keep it on. Our bus had to be quite new and so all the seats made noises every time somebody moved just a bit. The road to Sucre, our next destination, looked promising, wide and paved, but it changed quickly and we were once again travelling on bumpy and dusty one. But how ungrateful we were, instead of being happy just for the fact that we were still moving. At about 2 am our bus stopped in a queue of other buses, and we were told there was a landslide in front of us, so there was impossible to continue. After a while our bus switched of its engine and lights and we stayed in dark. There was nothing else to do than sleep.
