We left La Paz for an overnight bus to Uyuni. We was hoping to get a good nights sleep as we were booked on a 3 day 2night jeep trip to the salt flats and lagunes of South West Bolivia the morning we arrived. Less than 2 hours into the journey, the paved roads disappeared and we hit dirt tracks for the rest of the 10 hour trip! We have never experienced a bus ride quite like it...bumpy is not the word!

We suprisingly got more sleep than you would expected, and arrived in Uyuni ready to start our trip with 4 other backpackers. As we are still in Bolivia, photos are taking ages to download...but we can assure you that they are amazing. Not sure how to explain the trip, so you will have to wait for the pictures!
