We left copacobana heading to La paz, we had to cross part of the lake by boat. La Paz is a much nicer city than I was expecting. Went on a half day city tour, the guide was great and told us loads about the history of Bolivia and current politics. There are lots of demonstrations and strikes in Bolivia and firecrackers going off all the time.

The following day we mountain biked down the world's most dangerous road - well it used to be dangerous when there was traffic on it, there is a bypass now, so its pretty much dedicated to mountain bikers. We drove up through the clouds to 4800m and started cycling in the snow, then it warmed up as we went down, and was tropical by the time we got to the bottom at 1100m. There are huge drops off the roadside 400m or more in places. The whole ride was more than 30 miles, mostly downhill. It was a fantastic day.
