Met the group on the Gap trip in Buenos Aires, mixed group, 3 couples and a couple of solo travelers, and my room mate Erik from the US, he at 31 is the baby of the group. Flew down from Buenos Aries to Bariloche a nice little holiday town, also one of the most popular ski resorts in Argentina

Lots of lakes, mountains and great views

Patagonia a big farming area, many farms (estancias in spanish) are thousands of hectares, the land is pretty rough, they have mainly sheep and red Hereford cattle

Lots of meat grill restaurants in Argentina, had some very nice venison and steak. The Argentinians like to have the meat cokked through and not red inside, which suites me fine

A nearby volcano erupted last June, dumping ash and pummice over the whole area, some places had more than a metre. It was weird standing in water with rock floating on top!
