Salta la linda

More like ´Salta la fea´. Salta la linda means Salta the beautiful and that´s what Argentinians call it. But, since clouds follow us everywhere the day we arrived, it was cloudy and rainy. Nonetheless, we´re troopers and we´re making the best of things. It´s not everyday you get to travel around South America.

After a short cab ride with a very talkative driver (we only understood about 30% of what he was saying), we arrived at our beautiful bed and breakfast. The house was filled with local art, pictures of the family who owned it and our room was cavernous. We wandered around the city through a street market and took a load off in the plaza at the center of town. They have some beautiful catholic churches there, 33 in the teeny town, and we happened to wander by the main cathedral during mass. We stood in the back and listened to the choir, it was beautiful.

At the suggestion of one of the guys who worked at our hotel, we went to a traditional Salteño dinner and show. Complete with gauchos. Seth and I did some dancing ourselves! The band even gave Seth a shout out for his excellent dancing abilities. They had no idea a norteamericano could move his feet like that!
