Finding peace in Rosario and the end of our trip

We had to force ourselves to leave Punta del Diablo and beach life but after a lucky choice of Hostels we were so glad we did.
Things diodn't start great when we arrived in Rosario in Argentina, after a long bus journey, at about 4 am in the pouring rain, a kindly local took it upon themselves to aim for a puddle to further soak us whilst we tried to hail a cab, and then we thought we'd be left out in the rain after we couldn't get into the Hostel because the 24 hour reception was asleep!
However, once in the the sun came up the next day we found ourselves in a converted home with only around 20 beds and a small pool in the backyard. The 2 guys running the place, Jorge and Rudi, couldn't do enough for us and we had a great time practising our still very limited Spanish, helping them cook and exploring the local area.
As it turns out Rosario has some nice looking buildings but their "beach" is actually a riverbank and although the locals swam quite happily was not particulalry appealing so we generally favoured the swimming pool at the Hostel.

When the time came to go again it was sad to leave another group of new friends and this time was even harder knowing we were heading back to BA for couple of nights before our final flights.
This visit to BA Cherie took it upon herself to visit every market in the entire town buying presents for friends and also herself...
We had one last slap-up steak dinner - and then after an incredible trip it was time for the next chapter as we headed for Australia!
