Here are some photos of the last three weeks of summer. David has recently joined us here in Bariloche. You may be able to perceive an improvement in the quality of these photos due to David’s skills with his camera.

Most of the pictures are from our trip to Lago Traful, which is about a two-hour drive northeast of Bariloche. One of the many natural gems of the Patagonia, it is off the beaten track and doesn't receive the same tourist traffic we’re used to in Bariloche. We were able to camp right on a pebble beach, (not a single boat in sight on the pristine lake), and make campfires with the driftwood.

We went to a fútbol (known as soccer for the gringos) game in El Bolsón where we watched our neighbor Gabriel play with an all-star team from Bariloche. The tournament was sponsored by the owner of the Hard Rock Cafe, an American, who owns a large estancia outside of El Bolsón. He has constructed a state-of-the-art non profit sports center on his land where he holds sporting events for young people from all over the region…Our group photo was taken at our neighbor’s house, the Alvarez

Wow, that place is really beautiful. I could not believe the colors of the sunset. I hope I am able to come down and visit next winter (mine).

Beautiful
I'm sure that the memory of such beautiful places will stay with Sam and David for years to come. I still can remember scenery and great moments from a summer when I worked in the White Mountains of Arizona some 50 years ago. Memories of wonderful times and great locations seem to influence our lives. We hope that your winter will be peacefull, productive and relaxing, too. Electro Tango Guerrillas is so great!!! Idon't know if it's getting any play anywhere, but it should be. Even though I'm lacking in spanish language skills, it has a universal rhythm and movement that gets you going and is sure easy to listen to. I don't have much knowledge of all the sound blending either, but, it's pretty amazing how you've brought the voices and orchesration (including Matt's accordion) all together. Cogratulations! All the best, g and g
