I don't know if the big city blues made Mendoza my favorite side trip, but I do rank this city second to our Patagonia hiking excursion. These oak wine barrels are good for only 4-6 uses. They are bought at $1500 US and sold for maybe $300 US.

Dain made me try an olive from the tree and it was disgusting! I can't describe the horrible taste, but it lingered even though I spit out the chunk immediately. Then Dain had to try and outdo me, but he spit too!
