Corgarff Castle Lecht Road near Strathdon

Didn’t stop for this one. The photo was taken at speed. Apparently built in the 1600s. Burnt down and rebuilt. Used in the 1800s as a military base to quell the Jacobites.

We arrived in Aberdeen Wed 23 May after driving through the picturesque fertile farming region of Angus/Aberdeen. And, yes, fields of gold everywhere. We checked in to the Great Western Guest House.
