Handicap in Chinese Schools

One needs to take a test and a physical to be accepted to a Chinese university, Handicap people cannot pass the physical, so are not accepted at a university as a student. Beijing claims near-universal enrollment for the general population. Among the officially estimated 83 million people with disabilities in China, more than 40 per cent are illiterate and at least 15 million live on less than US$1 a day, underscoring the lifelong consequences of a lack of access to education.
