Penguins in the Falklands

Finally, some penguins up close and personal! This was the first bare land any of us had set foot on in over a week. I was struggling with my Antarctic sniffles and sneezes, but Dick went ashore to see a penguin colony.

We left the tip of South America early in February and cruised through the Straits of Magellan toward Antarctica, a trip of about 400 miles.
