Blue Lagoon in the Evening

Our Thanksgiving celebration at the Blue Lagoon. A geothermal spa located in a lava field. In Iceland, the sun sets early in the winter...around 3:30pm. While the temperature outside drops below 40 degrees, the warm lagoon waters stay around 100 degrees. This was true paradise.

This is a Thanksgiving we will never forget. In the morning Katie returned to the Golden Circle to snorkel Silfra, a 200ft deep rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and the rest of us went cruising the bay for whales.
