Hero of Cuba's wars of independence. A great poet and thinker. Was killed in his first battle. Very much revered, you see his name and face everywhere you go.

Lessons in Havana

I’ve been in Havana for the past week, learning Spanish, and much more besides. Cuba is a country which has long fascinated me. It is somewhere which really does look unique in the modern world.
