Last year when we arrived in Tonga, we were deluged by a rain storm of biblical proportions. This year all was calm and bright. In 2011 a new pier was commissioned by King Tupou V and it is a welcomed addition to the island. It is situated in downtown Nuku’alofa near the Royal Palace.
