Point Howard Lookout

These strange dark red outcrops of rock appeared at regular intervals all along the Namatjira Drive. It looked like an old "Hadrian's Wall" that was disintegrating with age! The green blobs all over the hillside are Weeping Spinifex, which has silica crystals in its spiky leaves, making them stiff like sandpaper.
