These Emus were easy to spot as the landscape was flat plains as far as the eye could see, with only dead-looking Mitchell Grass and the very occasional small tree or shrub, away in the distance.

We set off towards Winton today and we saw Nancy leaving town as we headed for the Dump Point. She was parked by the side of the road so I rang her and asked if she was OK. She was, she had just forgotten to put on her extended mirrors. We said we’d see her in Winton, where we knew she was heading, too.
