A good way to suppress the 'old' ways is to build a church on top of an old royal Inca palace. You clearly see the Inca stone work in the foundation and the white colonial building on top of it.

Stepping off the plane in Cusco was interesting, to say the least. We had no idea what to expect, with the altitude and everything we'd read about.
