We have been laying low for a couple of days. Last Friday (November 8th) we walked out to the Super Lake Store rather than Walmart, which is the other large grocery store near us. We really like Super Lake although many of the locals complain about the prices there. We found that the local products were about the same price as anywhere else. Rick and I are Canadians who retired in 1999. At that time Rick made me a promise that I would only see snow again should I wish too. I did not wish to then or now. We prepared our sailboat, Wind-Borne III (Bayfield 36) to sail south to the Caribbean. We lived aboard and island hopped in the Caribbean for 6 years and then in 2007 became part time cruisers, spending our winter months island hopping and the summer months back in Canada.
