This National Park is just a 1 1/2 hours drive away from Vientiane. I spent 3 days trekking from Ban Na to the Elephant Observation Tower, Keng Khani/Nam Hi Rapids, Tam Si Cave and Tad Fa waterfall. We didn't see any elephants (they came the following day!) but I had a great time walking through dense bamboo forests, swimming in the streams and camping in a cave on a full moon night. ... read more
