The Highline walkway

Now a park, was an old railroad called the highline that ran thru NYC at the 3rd (service) level. This level was where most hotels and buildings had their restaurants and dining halls and the trains could be unpacked quickly from here. Use of this railroad stopped when trucks came about, now a stunning park running from 30th to 12th st west :)
