That's the deepest part of Lake Baikal located in the middle of Siberia where I spent the last couple of weeks after St. Petersburg and Moscow. The average depth is over 2000' easily making it the world's deepest and most voluminous lake. The pictures do not it justice as it the lake is gigantic.
