We left Ennis, MT about 0630 this morning, and the temp was below freezing, but the sun was up, and we had our cold wx gear. Another great day. I took 344 pictures today alone. We got to Yellowstone in about an hour, and spent 2 ½ hours doing the grand loop and going to the Northeast exit. We had a 5 min delay for bison in the road, but other than that, no traffic issues. Riding the ALCAN, 2014

I have wanted to ride the ALCAN highway for a long time. I turn 50 in 2012, so decided that would be my excuse for finally making the ride. With my wife's blessing and financial backing, I began to plan when and with who. I extended the offer to accompany me to a few close friends and co-workers. One committed, and then sold his bike (Sorry Mel, but you'll be missing a hell of a good time). Another, Mike S, jumped at the chance, and we will be doing a 6300+ mile, 21 days (or so) ride from St Louis, MO area to Alaska and back.... full info
