This will be the last post from home. Mike leaves in about 12 hours, and I'll be about 20 hours behind him. We're meeting up near Sedelia, MO. From there on to KC, and up I29. Riding the ALCAN, 2014

I have wanted to ride the ALCAN highway for a long time. I turn 50 in 2012, so decided that would be my excuse for finally making the ride. With my wife's blessing and financial backing, I began to plan when and with who. I extended the offer to accompany me to a few close friends and co-workers. One committed, and then sold his bike (Sorry Mel, but you'll be missing a hell of a good time). Another, Mike S, jumped at the chance, and we will be doing a 6300+ mile, 21 days (or so) ride from St Louis, MO area to Alaska and back.... full info
